Page share!

I haven't shared many of my pages lately, because my time creating has been really slow. There are several amazing scrapbooking artists that I follow for inspiration, and I want to do a post providing the links to their amazing scrapbooking pages on Social Media. (It's in the works.)

Stuck is what comes to mind so many times when I sit at my table and have no idea what to do. Since I started putting pictures on paper creatively way back in 1998 (really?) it's always been a joy to me. Life gets in the way and the last few years the world has sucker punched all of us. It's been hard to feel that joy again. But I'm trying.

Thanks to the artists I follow I've gotten a bit of it back, but it has been difficult. I tend to stress about the quality of my photography of my pages so I can share, but I've decided to just click, edit and post. It's all about inspiration for someone, not a contest, right?

Here are a few I've done in the last month or so!

Mary and I drove back to Georgia not too long after we moved to Las Vegas to visit friends. We didn't stop too many places to sight see, but we did stop at the Cadillac Graveyard in Texas! The best photos were taken by her, but we did get the owner of that cute Lab puppy to take a picture of us so we could give my husband a heart attack. We told him we found it on the road and he would be coming home with us! Of course, that didn't happen, but he was an adorable puppy.

After the months and months of preparing to move, moving, unpacking and settling in, I found a 3-day scrapbooking event in Las Vegas and I signed up immediately! (Moved again shortly before) I had already gone on my 'Mom Trip' and had pictures developed and some pages organized, so I was really happy to have 3 days, close to home, to work on my album with a huge room full of other scrapbook crazy people! It was a Harry Potter theme and the organizers did a spectacular job! So much fun! I really miss those kinds of crops, but still don't feel comfortable in a room full of people these days.

That lady there on this layout is one of the organizers of the crop! Such a fun time! I just looked at their schedule for more of their events. I'm not opposed to a trip to Las Vegas for another one of these days!

We didn't live in Las Vegas for a very long time, but after the first few months of exploring there wasn't too many things we really wanted to do. We played tourist a couple of times and visited The Strip and some local casinos, but that's really not something we like to do, so we looked elsewhere for things to do outside the house! We would pass this place on our drives called Cactus Jacks. It's on the edge of the ever growing homes being built and the road to Pahrump. (Weird name for a tiny town, but a pretty drive to get there!) One day we stopped in to see what they had.

So many awesome things! It was really fun to go through.

These extra photos are attached to the layout. They are awesome things that have been around for a while, but I had no idea! They are called Peek-a-boo pages and they're nothing short of a miracle for adding photos in a creative way. (Check them out here.)

That's about it for now! Hope you enjoyed looking and become inspired to work on your albums!
